On any given Sunday, up to 35,000 visitors visit the Market, looking for great value bargains among clothing, jewellery, books, tools, antiques, crafts, pre-loved goods and more. Located at the Peel Street end of D Shed, Mothers Day Pop up is your opportunity to sell your goods to these Market shoppers.
There are 50 stalls available – so book online, drive in and sell!
What is it?
A new Mothers Day weekend Pop up at Queen Victoria Market on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May.
Where is it?
Queen Victoria Market, Peel Street end of D Shed (drive-in entry from Peel Street)
The Market space is fully undercover in our heritage sheds
When will it be running?
It will run from 8am-4pm Mothers Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
Arrival and set up at the market must be between 6.30am and 7.30am, fully set up by 8am.
How much are stalls?
Stalls are $180 each site (includes Saturday and Sunday bookings) including GST and the booking fee
Stall location will be for both days.
You will receive your location, once you've booked via email.
First in, best dressed scenario.
How big are the stalls?
Stalls are 2.4m (wide) x 7.5m (deep)
What can I sell?
household, clothing and footwear, collectables, fashion accessories, furniture, books, records, etc and old or vintage wares.
We do have some restrictions on what items can be sold at the market.
The following items are not able to be sold :
Illegally copied items that infringe copyright and trade mark laws
Livestock
Food and beverages - including take away, fresh or packaged
Protected flora and fauna
Firearms, explosives, poisons or weapons
Drugs
Raffle tickets, lottery or competition based activities
New goods for resale
Tobacco
Pornography
What do I do on the day?
Access to the Market site is from 6.30am, so make sure you get in early.
When you arrive, queue up along Peel Street and a member of our Operations team will direct you to your stall location after you have shown them your ticket.
Park your car within your stall (or alternatively unload your goods and move it off-site before 8am if you would like the extra space).
Set up your stall ready for trade. You will need to bring your own tables, chairs and racks and ensure that all goods are kept within your stall boundary lines.
The Market opens at 8am so make sure you are ready to start selling!
Mothers Day Pop up finishes Sunday finishes at 4pm when you can put your loot back in your boot and drive off. (You can also bring your car back onsite at this time if it is parked elsewhere).
How do I book a stall?
Stalls can be paid by credit card via the online booking system
Pre-booked stalls are non-refundable or changeable
Stalls are released week by week on the website booking page
To book more than one stall you can allocate this at the time of booking
The Market's Terms & Conditions must be read, fully understood and agreed to before booking a stall. By submitting the booking you are confirming to the T&C's.
You will receive a general stall site booking which you will need to print out and bring with you on the morning of the market
Arrival and set up at the market must be between 6.30am - 7.30am, fully set up by 8a
On arrival at D Shed, you will be allocated a stall space by our QVM operations team. Please refer to the attached map to see the location of Mothers Day Pop Up in the marketplace
Other important details
We encourage you to support your stall's presence at the Market with your own social media.
Flyers cannot be distributed on site.
Pets are not allowed on site, other than guide dogs or authorised dogs in training.
Insurance is covered in the stall holder fee
Please remove all your rubbish from site at the end of trade, leaving stall spaces clean and vacant as when you arrived.
There is no power available to the stall sites
Smoking is not permitted in or at stall sites
The Market runs in all weather conditions
Stall holders must behave with courtesy and respect towards members of the public, other stall holders, staff and volunteers.
